A Short Tribute to Ben Black Elk

Over the past year, I have been blessed to befriend Warfield Moose, Jr., a Lakota Sioux Medicine Man. His father was Warfield Moose Sr., who recorded and translated interviews with Ben Black Elk, son of the famous Black Elk, who was one of the most influential Lakota leaders in history.

Warfield asked if I could produce a short introductory video to assist him as he tells the story of the Lakota people on college campuses and cities nationwide. So for about 12 hours later, with the help of my friend and editor Charles Gilchrist, we found enough powerful images to create what you see above.

Warfield's wonderful music is the soundtrack for this video and was co-produced by singer and Sundance Leader Shilo Clifford. Their CD is called "Ben Black Elk Speaks" and won "Best Historical Recording" at the 2003 Native American Music Awards, and can be purchased on Amazon.

Please support this visionary healer by buying the CD. http://tinyurl.com/a34a7u
